Support Nippon Connection

Do you share our passion for cinema and culture from Japan? Then support us and become part of our common project, the Nippon Connection Film Festival!

The Nippon Connection Film Festival does not receive any permanent funding. This poses a huge challenge each year. Writing new applications, acquiring sponsors and re-negotiating, again and again, we have to make sure that all costs can be covered.

The festival is financed with public funding (especially from the State of Hesse and the City of Frankfurt), sponsorships und own revenues, e.g. from ticket sales, sale of drinks, market booth fees and ad placements in our program catalog. Additionally, we rely on donations. 

Nippon Connection e.V. is a registered NPO (non-profit organization). Our team of about 70 members works mainly on a voluntary basis. We do not make any profits with the festival. Every single euro is re-invested in the festival!
